Can I book just a course, without accommodation?
Yes, you can. We have separate prices for courses and accommodations, so you can check what a course alone would cost.

Duration of a lesson
Each lesson lasts 45 minutes.

Transfer
Our comprehensive range of services even provides our students with the possibility of a transfer from their arrival airport or train station, directly to BWK Campus, for a fee.
Alternatively, you can of course, take public transportation or a taxi (between €20 – €30 depending on the airport).

Host Family
If you are staying with a host family that was organized through BWK, you will be picked-up upon arrival.

Holidays and Vacations
No lessons will be held on public holidays.

Proof of payment
Prior to, or at the start of the course, a participant may be asked to present a document as proof that s/he has paid the course and/or accommodation in full. If the participant is unable to present such a document, both the course and the accommodation services may be denied to the participant. In the case of late registration, BWK will ask for such proof prior to sending the pre-arrival documents.Cancelation prior to the start of the course:

The contracting party may withdraw from the contract at any time prior to the start of the language course. If this is the case, the BWK is due adequate compensation. The amount of compensation depends on the remaining length of time between the day of receipt of the notice of termination at BWK and the course starting date. The amount of compensation due is calculated according to this principle, as follows:

• 56 days or more prior to the start of the course: 10% of the full invoiced amount
• From 55 to 30 days prior to the start of the course: 20% of the full invoiced amount
• From 29 to 22 days prior to the start of the course: 30% of the full invoiced amount
• From 21 to 15 days prior to the start of the course: 50% of the full invoiced amount
• 14 days or less prior to the start of the course: 100% of the full invoiced amount
• Failure to appear for the course, or cancellation after the start of the course: 100% of the full invoiced amount. The amount payable for compensation must be paid within ten days of the receipt of the cancellation invoice. If the participant is denied a visa and the original document from the German Embassy denying the application is presented, the BWK will refund the entire amount paid, minus a € 200 handling charge.

Homework
Active course participation is expected from all of our students. This includes a certain amount of homework. Homework is given regularly and also includes the preparation for, and the review of, the lessons of the day. The quantity of homework given, however, will always leave enough time for leisure activities. Written assignments will be corrected and returned to the students. These then serve as an indication of the student’s individual progress.
